Superior Project Tracking – staying on time and on budget

At LCH, we feel that transparency and organization skills are a must to properly execute second storey additions. To that effect, we have invested in a cloud-based project tracking software to help you view not only the detailed project plan and Gantt chart, but see the timetable of deadlines for upcoming decisions (e.g. Cabinetry layout), the running project costs, all change orders (changes to the project scope) and all approved finishing details. We also upload ongoing photos of the construction progress onto the website – if you happen to live far way from your property.

What does it cost?

Adding a second storey to your bungalow is a great way to add square footage to your home at a more reasonable cost than rebuilding your entire home but everyone wonders just how much!

The cost for a second storey addition usually starts at $150 per square foot up to $200+ per square foot depending on the specific features or finishes your addition may have. If your addition will feature a secondary kitchen, or a new master ensuite as an example, the cost will escalate based on the specific finishes and the cost to add plumbing into these rooms.

We provide advice and guidance right at the design phase, so that you can only keep your project costs contained and avoid sticker shock if you independently get an architect to design your home (without cost restraints).
